MiniRoos (Under 6-11)

MiniRoos Club football is a modified form of the game, offered under the Football Federation of Australia, for children from Under 6 (ie turning 6 in the year of competition) to Under 11.  Teams and pitch sizes are smaller so players have more touches of the ball. More details here.

Sturt Lions fields teams in both the FSA MiniRoo and FSA MiniRoo Girls competitions. Age group is determined by birth year.

Season 2024 Birth Years

There are no trials for MiniRoo teams, however, places are limited by capacity.

Season 2024

The MiniRoos playing season runs from late-March to mid-September. Games are played on Sunday mornings at home and away locations. 

Training for SLFC MiniRoos is generally held on Mon, Wed & Fri evenings, with a second weekly training session for older age groups. Training times and locations are subject to change in 2024.  Pre-season training starts in February for most teams.

There is an expectation of attendance at all training and games, although summer sports commitments are accommodated during the pre-season.

Players and parents must abide by the Club's Codes of Conduct.

Female players have the option of playing in mixed teams or girls-only teams.

4. Select 'Payment Class' for your 2024 age group (see above)
